Lesley Long, Founder of WGWOHi! I'm Lesley Long.

I was inspired to create “Women Go Wild Outdoors™” because I have been doing just that. Discovering my own Wild Woman has made a huge difference to my life and the way I tackle the challenges it throws at me. My personal experience of outdoor activities and adventure travel has given me the confidence and creativity to make changes, overcome setbacks and just have plain old FUN!

After several major setbacks in my life I decided to go outdoors and have an adventure. I stretched myself with new experiences and learned new skills. In doing so, I recharged my batteries, found my focus and got my bounce back.

Since then I have had lots of adventures and plan to have plenty more. I have made new self-discoveries, trained as an outdoor development coach and am a member of the Institute for Outdoor Learning.

I juggle motherhood, daughter-hood and sisterhood and run “Women Go Wild Outdoors™”. So, like many of you, I know that there is too much to do and too little time to do it. I also know that my outdoor adventures aren’t selfish – they give me energy and perspective for the rest of my life.

I believe that we have one life and we owe it to ourselves to live it. Taking time out for you is good for you! In fact, it's essential for your mental health and your sense of well-being. So your Adventure Break will make you an even better mother, wife, partner, carer, friend, employer or employee.

I hope you like our mix of high quality accommodation, comfort and well-being activities and will feel inspired to join me and other like-minded women to put a little wildness back into your life.

“Women Go Wild Outdoors™” is for women everywhere. Do let me have your feedback on our programmes and your suggestions for new adventures. Drop me an email; I’d love to hear from you.

PS. Go on….release your Wild Woman!

Lesley
